Designed and decorated after a ski lodge resort restaurant in Sun Valley, Idaho, The Rustic Oak, located in North Haven, opened its doors in April of 1974. A large see-through stone fireplace is the main focal point in the foyer and main dining room.
You are especially invited in to feel its warmth, whether it is for a business lunch or a leisurely dinner with friends or family. Saved by the family that has owned and operated this popular rustic gathering place for the past 31 years, are the many large Oak trees situated on the property. Hence, the name The Rustic Oak.
Featured for your dining pleasure are aged USDA Choice Western Beef hand cut on-premises. Also available are a large selection of seasonal seafood along with a variety of chicken dishes prepared by Chef Susan. Sue was born and raised in Kaunakakai, Hawaii. She joined our staff in 1980 and has been pleasing guests since then with her many culinary creations.
To finish your meal and consider one of our scrumptious desserts, made on-premises. Sue’s Rice Pudding, Grasshopper Pie, Warm Apple Crisp, and her dessert of the day are among the favorites.
The wine list is focused and reasonably priced. Wines by the glass, a wide selection of specialty drinks is also available both in the main dining room and full-service cocktail lounge.
